More Information:
Since 1935, Reno Little Theater has staged over 3,000 performances of more than 550 shows. We estimate that more than 6.500 different people have helped at Reno Little Theater, averaging 90 hours per show per volunteer (that’s over 650,000 hours!). It is our family of volunteers that keeps the organization running smoothly. They greet theater patrons as ushers and box office personnel, mail newsletters, work on publicity and fundraising, build the scenery, costumes, and props, and operate the light and sound boards. All of our actors, actresses, stage crews, and directors are volunteers. We treasure our volunteers and each of the special talents each person brings to RLT.

We can’t wait to have you join our family of all-star volunteers!
Current volunteer needs:
Ushers and Box Office volunteers: Join our team of ushers and box office volunteers. The folks that greet you at the box office and the door of the theater have a reason to be smiling – they get to see that evening’s show for free! You decide which night you want to volunteer, then, when we close the doors, head to the seats reserved for volunteers to enjoy the show.
Concessions:
Want to be the life of the party at an RLT performance? We’re always looking for volunteers 21 years or older to sell drinks and snacks to our patrons. Concessions volunteers must obtain an alcohol handler’s card through the Alcohol Awareness Training Course at www.aatnv.com. The best part is, once you’ve volunteered with us we’ll reimburse the $15 license fee!
Technical and Production volunteers:
Our incredible productions are brought to the stage with the amazing power of volunteers working behind the scenes. Our technical volunteers help our designers construct jaw-dropping sets, construct beautiful costumes, and sometimes provide support during shows for set changes.
