Melissa Taylor

Melissa has been a lover of the theater for as long as she can remember. Her earliest and most cherished memories revolve around the time she's spent watching or creating shows and now she's living her dream of producing engaging theatrical experiences full-time. With RLT since 2013, Melissa is originally from NJ where she spent over a decade working in Atlantic City at the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa as the Box Office and Showroom Supervisor. She managed FOH operations and ticketing for hundreds of acts like The Rolling Stones, Jerry Seinfeld, Janet Jackson, Billy Joel, and many more. Melissa holds a BA in Theater Performance from Stockton University, an MA in Arts Administration from Rowan University, and a Graduate Certificate in Arts Culture Strategy through the University of Pennsylvania and National Arts Strategies. In 2017, she was recognized as a top 40 finalist for Reno-Tahoe YPN's 20 Under 40. In 2018, she was recognized as a "Woman of Achievement" by Nevada Women's Fund. She's passionate about creative and meaningful community partnerships and as such, Melissa has previously served on the boards of Silver State Storytellers and the David J. Drakulich Art Foundation. In addition to her roles a an administrator, Melissa regularly directs and occasionally makes her way to the stage. Favorite directing credits include The Laramie Project; Bull in a China Shop; Murder on the Orient Express; The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged); Red; Calendar Girls; Peter and the Starcatcher; and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Some of her favorite onstage roles include Susan ([title of show]); Cathy (The Last Five Years); The Baker's Wife (Into the Woods); and Lucy (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Outside of the theater, Melissa enjoys puzzles, black licorice, good music, and spending time with her sweet family.
