These spooky classes are designed for those new to the world of theatre or for those who want to brush up on their basic skills.

Spooky Spiders and Gooney Goons

Using books as inspiration, This class focuses on the basics of storytelling. Through theatre exercises and collaborative play these young actors will use their imagination, body, and voice to recreate their favorite spooky story. 

This six-week course will culminate with an evening showcase on October 23rd so come join us for a spookily fun time.

Grades K-2nd

This class is designed for those new to the theatre and those who want to brush up on basic skills. 

Ghostly Ghouls and Wicked Witches 

Using books and local Nevada haunts as inspiration, young actors will use their actor’s toolbox (body, voice, and imagination) to recreate and re-envision their favorite spooky stories. Using theatre exercises and collaborative creation, actors will focus on the basics of storytelling, from what makes a good story to how to effectively use their actor’s toolbox and foley sound to make their stories come alive. Grab the s’mores, gather around the campfire, and join us for tales that are sure to leave you with goosebumps.  

This six-week course will culminate with an evening showcase on October 23rd.

This class is designed for those new to the theatre and those who want to brush up on basic skills. 

Broadway Our Way

Ever wonder what is happening at the North Pole in the days leading up to the Big Day? Join us for a special live edition of Ho, Ho, Ho, The Santa Claus Chronicles! We start off with a press conference where St. Nick’s press secretary will answer questions about the jolly guy. You will also meet the elves Eeny Meeny, Miney and Sol who take care of the reindeer and hear from the elves on the gift suggestion hotline. We will even take you to meet Gladys Snowing, editor of Snow News. But the biggest question on everyone’s minds is, “Where is Mrs. Claus?” Join us for a surprise ending that’s sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Previous acting/theatre experience is suggested although not required.

Employment Opportunities

We are currently looking for Stage Managers for our Broadway Our Way productions as well as Assistant Teaching Artists for all our camps (Fall, Spring, and Summer.) Education Refund Policy
There is a $50 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit.
  • Cancellation more than 2 weeks before a class/camp begins will result in a full refund, less the $50 deposit.
  • Cancellation within 1-2 weeks of a class/camp beginning will result in a class/camp credit, less the $50 deposit.
  • Cancellation 1 week or less before a class/camp begins will result in no refund or credit.
Exceptions will be considered for students with COVID-19 symptoms.
In the event of a positive COVID-19 case within a class/camp, the class/camp will not be canceled but instead transition to a virtual format. Refunds will be considered for students with COVID-19 symptoms
If Reno Little Theater cancels a class or camp, for any reason, you will be issued
  • a full refund including the $50 deposit for classes that have not yet started.
  • a prorated refund (including the $50 deposit) for classes that have started.
