This workshop will explore rules of conduct (spoken and unspoken) for a professional theatre artist. Topics will include (among others) Auditions, Preparation/Research, Attitude/Behavior, Rehearsal/Tech/Performance Etiquette, Note Time, Personal Life, Social Media, Contract Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, Understudy Assignments, Substance Use, Gossip, When to turn Union, Networking, Headshots & Resumes, Day Jobs, Mapping Your Career, Work/Life Balance and Maintaining Sanity.

As an actor, Jason has appeared in over 100 professional productions. In San Diego, where he lives, he has performed with the Old Globe Theatres, La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Cygnet Theatre Company, Intrepid Theatre Company, ion theatre company, North Coast Repertory Theatre, Compass Theatre, Moonlight Stage Productions, Starlight Theatre, and over 20 productions with Lamb’s Players Theatre, where he is an Associate Artist.
Other credits include the Off-Broadway production of ion theatre’s Sea of Souls as well as regional work at the Arkansas & Tennessee Repertory Theatres, A.C.T., Capital Stage Company, A Noise Within, & nine seasons with the Utah, Lake Tahoe, Marin, & Texas Shakespeare Festivals.
In San Diego, Jason has directed for Moonlight Stage Productions, Intrepid Shakespeare Company, New Village Arts, CSU San Marcos and will be directing Qui Nguyen’s SHE KILLS MONSTERS this fall at Grossmont College.
Jason is an Adjunct Professor for Cal State University, San Marcos and Grossmont College, as well as a Teaching Artist for the Old Globe Theatres and San Diego Junior Theatre. Previous teaching includes UCSD Extension, J*Company, UC Irvine. He also teaches privately.
