Reno Little Theater’s ACT OUT! Theater Education Program is rolling out six exciting weeks of Summer Camps to keep your little ones in the spotlight all summer long! This time around, we have designed the camps to better accommodate both the 6-8 and 9-12 age ranges. Each age group will work on separate projects under the same theme and come together at the end of the week to showcase their work for family and friends.
Week 1: June 18th – June 22nd
The Greatest Little Showman: Everyone has a special talent and here is your chance to show it off! Whether it’s singing, juggling, dancing, or hula hooping, no talent is too small! Of course, we will be singing and dancing to the music from The Greatest Showman, but it’s your turn to be the Greatest Little Showman!
Week 2: June 25th – June 29th
Summer Knights: Ever wonder how actors make fight scenes look so real? Well now is your chance! Join us for this camp and learn the basics of stage combat. You will also get a chance to learn about the theatre style of improv, and sing and dance to music from Mulan and Kung Foo Panda.
Weel 3: July 9th- July 13th
Island Dreams: Tropical breezes and paradise dreams take over Reno Little Theater with this camp! Learn to Hula and make sand castles. Sing songs from Moana and learn about set design with a tropical flare.
Week 4: July 16th – July 20th
Summer Beach Party: Let’s go to the beach! Singing, dancing, and water play make up this fun-filled camp! Learn songs from Teen Beach Movie and Grease. Dance and recreate summer fun scenes from High School Musical II.
Week 5: July 23rd – July 27th
Descending Into Oz: Playing a villain can be so much fun! In this camp, you will have the chance to get in touch with your darker side. With music and dance from The Descendants, Wicked, and The Wiz you will have a devilishly wonderful time!
Week 6: July 30th – August 3rd
The Greatest Little Showman: If you missed the Greatest Little Showman camp the first time, here’s your 2nd chance! Everyone has a special talent and here is your chance to show it off! Whether it’s singing, juggling, dancing, or hula hooping, no talent is too small! Of course, we will be singing and dancing to the music from The Greatest Showman, but it’s your turn to be the Greatest Little Showman!
